Big pi, the product operator: ∏ xᵢ multiplies a sequence of terms, the multiplicative sibling of ∑. As with summation, prefer this operator character over the Greek capital letter Π (U+03A0) — the operator is drawn larger with heavier verticals so it anchors a formula. Common in probability (likelihoods) and combinatorics.
