Bullet operator

A mathematical operator dot, used for the dot product and general multiplication in formulas. It is distinct from the list bullet • (larger) and the middle dot · (smaller): pick this one when typesetting math so the glyph carries operator semantics. Some fonts render the three nearly identically, so verify the distinction survives in your font stack.
