Fraction and superscript symbols to copy and paste

Precomposed fractions turn clumsy constructions like 1/2 into single kerned glyphs: ½. This collection gathers the halves, thirds, quarters and eighths Unicode provides ready-made, plus the superscript and subscript digits behind m², x³ and H₂O.

The dividing line worth knowing: ½, ¼, ¾ and the superscripts ¹ ² ³ are Latin-1 characters that render absolutely everywhere, while the thirds, eighths and subscripts arrived later and depend on decent font coverage. For fractions with no precomposed form, digits joined by the fraction slash ⁄ (U+2044) are the typographically correct fallback.
