‴
Triple prime
Marks the third derivative of a function in mathematical notation (f‴) and, historically, the ligne — a twelfth of an inch — in watchmaking and button sizing. One character keeps the three strokes evenly spaced and correctly slanted, unlike three typed apostrophes in a row.
