ø
Latin small letter o with stroke
Danish and Norwegian ø (København, smørrebrød), the counterpart of Swedish ö. Designers borrow it as a stand-in for the empty set ∅ (U+2205) or the diameter sign ⌀ (U+2300) — resist that; each has its own codepoint. Mac: Option+O. Uppercase: Ø (U+00D8).
