Official symbol of the Indian rupee (INR), adopted in 2010 and encoded in Unicode 6.0. Written before the amount: ₹500. Systems older than roughly Windows 8 or Android 4 may show a placeholder box, so keep the ISO code INR as a fallback in international contexts.
